Specifically targeted products with expert nutrition
The Pregnacare range includes advanced nutrients specifically targeted towards supporting you before, during and after pregnancy.
Greater care for Mother and Baby
Pregnacare Plus dual pack provides the original fully comprehensive multivitamin tablet, which delivers the essential nutrients for pregnancy.
This includes the recommended level of 400 mcg folic acid and 10 mcg vitamin D plus an additional Omega-3 capsule to provide a rich source of docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) which contributes to normal brain and eye development of the foetus.
A beneficial effect is obtained with a daily intake of 200 mg DHA in addition to the recommended daily intake of omega-3 fatty acids for adults.
Vitamin E and D in Pregnancy
The Department of Health recommends that all pregnant and breast-feeding women take a supplement containing 10 mcg vitamin D, which is the exact amount found in Pregnacare.
Vitamin E contributes to the protection of cells from oxidative stress. Pregnacare contains a low recommended dietary intake of 4 mg. This is present in the natural form which is better absorbed by the mother than synthetic vitamin E.
Quality and Purity guaranteed
What the mother consumes has the potential to be passed on to the developing child, therefore only the purest pharmaceutical grade fish oil produced in Norway, has been used in Pregnacare Plus capsules.
To ensure maximum benefit the oil is carefully concentrated to increase its DHA and EPA content and further purified.
Each batch is rigorously tested, certified, and fully compliant with stringent EC and WHO rules on environmental pollutants.

That's why I decided to change over to these. After taking them for approx 3 months, I found out we were finally pregnant!
I swear by these vitamins, and I just know they helped me to conceive in the end. I then went on to try for another baby a while after I had my first and after 10 months of trying I decided to start these again. The month after starting them, I found out we were expecting again!
I went on to continue to take them while I was breastfeeding. I recommend anyone to take these whether your trying to conceive, or are expecting, or are breastfeeding. I would also like to say I didn't get any morning sickness in my pregnancies, i'm unsure if it was down to these vitamins, or if I was just lucky.
Not so bad aftertaste thank god, as I don't think I could of coped with the fish aftertaste that you get from wellwomans
We did some googling on ideal nutritional intake for pregnant women and, to be honest, if you have a balanced diet (ie., the proper daily servings of fruits/veg/protein/carbs/etc.), you shouldn't really need to take multivitamins. The problem is, my wife has some serious morning sickness and, as a result, her appetite has diminished drastically so taking multivitamins became a viable, if not necessary, option to compensate for the loss of intake. Additionally, my wife hates fish which is a great source of omega-3. So, this is my way of force-feeding her fish without actually feeding her fish (if that makes sense). Apparently, folic acid and omega-3 are important for the development of your child.
I'm a bit obsessive about the health and development of my child while in the womb, so I'm willing to spend £11 (I ordered this right before the dropped the price to £7...total bummer) per box for peace of mind. As for the actual efficacy of this product, who really knows? If all goes well and I have a healthy baby in 6 months, perhaps this product 'may' have been a contributing factor--but, again, who really knows?
