At the end of book 1 Brooke left me hanging. KC was standing their with a pregnancy test in hand while her family, the stuck up picture perfect family, sent her away in disgrace only hours after she saw her boyfriend, MMA champion Chamberlains lips locked with his best friend.
There were so many things KC could have done. She could have blamed others, fallen into a pity pool but instead she stood strong determined to provide the best life for her daughter.
When Chamberlain finally sets his sight on the one who got away, his in for the fight of his life. The only fight he's not prepared to ever lose.
For me, the one thing that stood out and proved how incredible Brooke May is as an author was the way she wrote Katie. Even after having her world upended time and time again, she's strong, protective, independent and not jaded that she deserves to be!
A brilliant book! I wouldn't mind more Chamberlain!
Chamberlain is determined to get Katie back and not let her out of his life again. Katie and Chamberlain’s best friends also play a part in this, with Scott mentioning that perhaps Katie saw Chamberlain with Gwen the night of his fight, while Beth thought there were some pieces missing in the puzzle that she was told.
The chemistry between Chamberlain and Katie was sizzling and these too have to fight everything to get to their happiness. There are twists and turns that they battle for happiness.
I loved some of the other character’s that were involved and the story and how sassy they were, but won’t say due to spoilers.
Can’t wait to see the next book from this author.
Absolutely fricking flove it! I need my very own Predator!
