Working on the small amount of information released to the public Tess finally tracks down the killer(s), but all does not go to plan. And yet another sighting of the killer of her grandpa - when will she finally meet him ? Sorry to say there is a huge amount of Tess 'thinking' which did get a bit boring, hence the 4 stars.

Another great read in this vigilante series, although it's more psychologically disturbing, due to this particular subject matter.

Crazy is portrayed extremely well, as is the suffering of the victim...I don't give spoilers, so I cannot say too much. But gripping and traumatic.

Tess is a brilliant character; a mixture of strength, determination, compassion and vulnerability. I really enjoy how she tackles the yob element and of course the villains in these tales, but this story piles on that sense of guilt and lack of value that continues to haunt her. That was sad and I am not sure if it was necessary - certainly suspenseful with a twist but I can understand, because it possibly lends itself to a future state of mind. (Trying not to give anything away but I had to comment on the 'why that way').

Now her past is catching up - what will happen? I look forward to finding out.

Overall, a well written story, with a great easy style that packs a punch.
