This new slim line Precision clock combines reliability with style. The screen displays the date, day and month as well as the temperature and time. The LCD screen is also touch sensitive allowing you to simply touch it when you need the backlight to come on rather than having the hassle of searching for the button. The clock is radio controlled which means that it links up with an Atomic Clock in Cumbria and will automatically update the time making it accurate to 1 second in 60 million years. Batteries not included. To insure peace of mind this clock also comes with a 2 year manufactures guarantee.

As others have noticed, the display is difficult to view when the clock lights up, so you have to look at it from an angle. When the light is off, however, the viewing angle is greater. It also doesn't seem to like rechargeable NiMh batteries as the digits change really slowly, so I had to get some alkaline batteries and they have lasted well. A few people have mentioned that the alarm sound is too low, so I had another alarm clock on standby but so far it has never failed to wake me up. In fact, after about a minute it really piles on the pressure (are you getting up or what?) and you have to be unconscious to sleep through it. Another minus is that dust seems to stick to it like glue for an unknown reason, so it has to be wiped off often.
The best feature I love about it is that in the middle of the night I don't have to fumble for a light switch to find out what time it is, I just need to tap the mantelpiece. The funky blue light stays on for about 2 seconds which is more than enough to read the time and adjust the duvet....zzzzzzzzzz.
The clock itself is great in concept, it is small and compact, and displays all the information I want at a glance. The 'touch sensitive' part is merely a rocker inside that detects any vibration, so the backlight would probably come on if you sneezed at it, there's no fancy touch panel as implied but that's fine, it does what it's supposed to. It picked up a signal from inside an old thick-walled building in the middle of town, not bad really (though it picked up reception quicker when it was by a window).
When it worked it kept time and looked great, but that only lasted a few minutes; the unit just randomly started to display nothing, the screen either went off completely (not just the backlight) or would display random segments of the numbers. I reset it several times by taking out the batteries (I tried about three different sets, all brand new), each time it would go off after several minutes. This clock is supposed to remain on all of the time, only the backlight should be switching itself off.
Amazon were great, they offered me a replacement which I opted for in case it was just a bad batch, but after a few weeks told me that it was no longer available and gave me a full refund, probably for the best as now I can choose a different one. I would buy Precision again, just not this model.
CLOCK 1 - radio signal system didn't work. Tried it sitting next to existing radio controlled alarm clocks but still it didn't pick up the signal. Backlight didn't work. Display is very dark and difficult to read unless you are directly facing it. IMPOSSIBLE to use as alarm clock as buttons are very small and hidden on the back. Applied for refund, supplier wanted me to pay postage but eventually they gave me postage label.
CLOCK 2 - never arrived. Chased supplier and agreed to send third clock by courier.
CLOCK 3 - arrived by post and not courier as promised. Backlight is impossibly sensitive, if you put something on the table the light goes on and I mean small objects being put on the same surface as it. The radio control worked this time but as mentioned before unless you are directly in front of the display you can read it. Can't imagine being able to use it as alarm clock as the buttons are all hidden in the back and it would be far to easy to press the wrong button if you wanted 'snooze'.
I didn't pay much for it but given the poor quality of it and the poor service by the supplier, not a happy experience.
alarm not bad, doesn't fright you to death as it increases speed and volume (a bit) if you don't switch off
Touch to light gives a few seconds to read and returns to unlit screen (sensative).
