Deaglán de Bréadún is author of The Far Side of Revenge: Making Peace in Northern Ireland, the definitive account of the making of the Good Friday Agreement and its aftermath. As a journalist with the Irish Times for many years, he held such positions as Northern Editor, Political Correspondent and Foreign Affairs Correspondent and later worked as Political Editor of the Irish Sun. He is a regular broadcaster on radio and television and a member of the Press Council of Ireland.
