Sorry, but while the pictures in this book are bright and colourful the text lets it down big-time for the UK market because it uses Americanisms such as 'diaper', 'pee' and 'Mom'.

OK - you can read it and replace the offending words but then the verse is ruined - which scans very badly anyway on the last couple of pages.

'Lift the flap' is also a bit misleading - it's more like 'fold out the page'...

This will be at the charity shop well before the last 'diaper' is disposed of....

I bought this book and I'm very disappionted because it is American and uses the word Diaper, so hence when I read this book I have to remember to change the word to Nappy. Can't believe this item is being sold in the UK for helping potty training when it doesn't use all our English words!!
I don't recommend this book and to be honest I only read it twice to my little girl because of this difference.

I was expecting the lift up flaps to be peek-a-boo style since that is how most books are, however the lift up flaps are actually lift up the entire page. As such this book doesn't really capture my 2yr old attention much

The story is all about being scared of the potty then eventually being happy to use it. Not that great a plot since my child is not scared of the potty to begin with, so reading this to him is actually just telling him things he doesn't need to know.

I have stopped reading it to him.

Disappointed that it was americanised i.e. diapers instead of nappies etc.

I bought this book for my 2 years old son. The text is nice and fun. The kid in the book does not want to use the potty at first but then does it. It's bright, colorful and the pages are fun to flip. My son smiles when we read it. It's just to start getting him interested in potty training. One warning, the word diaper is used and not nappy but I just say nappy when I read it.

The description was "used - very good". There was half a page torn out of the book and it was creased and folded on most pages. The book was definitely not as described. A most disappointing purchase.
