I will continue to sing this series praises, fans or para/rom books will love it, good charectors, great story lines. sable brother to brom finally gives into ice, the lowly pauper of a wizard although his integrity is there with the best of them, after much blatant sexual innuendos they finally hit it off and on and off. this is the third book, you must read them in order. 1)tempt me with darkness, 2)seduce me in shadow and 3)posess me at midnight.i wouldnt say they are stand alone as the story continues. great book.

I've just discovered these books by Shayla Black, and I love them! If you are a fan of JR Ward, Kresley Cole, Gena Showalter and other authors of fantasy/paranormal romance, you will also enjoy these books. This is the 3rd of the series and it's my favourite so far. Who doesn't enjoy a big bad sexy hero conquered by love?. Ice was so misunderstood (because of his status as one of the Deprived, and his past trauma of losing his sister in such a fashion) but he has such an honourable heart. I think I fell in love with him a bit. I also find the love scenes explicit (in a good way of course) and scorching!
Excuse the rambling, but I didn't think that any other authors will fight for room next to my favourites (mentioned previously). I will highly recommend the Doomsday series, and can't wait for Anka and Lucan to get back together. I also hope that Shock gets a really good story of his own.

I had this series recommended by other Black Dagger Brotherhood readers, and i have to say it lived up to it. I really liked all the characters, and even the heroines became a real part of the story, rather than just being the back story for the romance. Which i really liked. They were also mentioned in other books in their own right, again something that doesnt happen enough in romance series. Get this if you like Paranormal Romance and want a fun, easy, fantastic read.

I'm not normally an avid reader of this type of book, but wow! In the space of a week I've now read the series so far. I can't wait for the next book. Best to read them in order (this is the third in the series) but easy enough to pick up the underlying story line as I did.
