About the Author

Rebecca Eanes is the founder of www.positive-parents.org and independent researcher on attachment and child development. Her other works include The Newbie's Guide to Positive Parenting and The Couple's Guide to Positive Parenting to be released in 2013. She is an attached and blessed mother of two and married for 11 years now to her high school sweetheart and best friend for the past 17 years. Laura Ling is an administrator on the Facebook page Positive Parenting: Toddlers and Beyond and mother of one. I've read a few parenting books over the years and this is definitely one of the best. It has many common, real life situations and examples that most parents will have experienced at one time or another. The book gives a different insight into how to deal with these situations and encourages the parent to have empathy and understanding with the child. The only down side of this book is that it is very short and I would have loved to have kept reading ...

This is a really nicely written book with good examples given. It helped me to understand that tantrums don't just represent manipulative behaviour, but are a sign that your child isn't able to handle their emotions and are feeling frustrated. It made me feel much happier and made my relationship with my three year old much more positive. I find I don't say, "No!" quite so many times a day now!
