I bought this camera to shoot paintballing session for my 19th bday. But after 2 weeks of research and a limited budget i found this camera and bought thinking its a polaroid. but to my utter dismay luckly i tested it out 2 hours before going paintballing and found out that all the black colours were somehow coming out purple and the recording would freeze at intervals and the continue recording. to show you guys what exactly i mean .. here is the exact camera but just china branded.. its reviewed by the best pocket cam reviewer here is the link: [...] if you cant find it then google techmoan rd32 review. the quality of the camera and the make and program is all the same.. sent it back straight away. i used a class 10 sandisk unltra 32gb sd card so there would be low quality recording and still it was awful. not worth the price.

The video quality is so, so bad in a number of ways: Bad focus, light adjustment and frame drop. The video I recorded with it on the slopes (see the stills) made me first think there was an error with the camera leading me to take more footage and attempt to save it in post production. I eventually came to the conclusion that the $60 I'd spent on a whim was truly wasted.
But the image quality isn't the only problem. The helmet mount that comes with it is supposed to be flat but is actually convex on the mounting surface, meaning it curves away from a surface that is already curving away. I did manage to make it stick by heating the mount with a hair dryer and bending it then using some very strong sticky pads I had (the 3M one didn't adhere well at all and the mount came off in my hands when tightening).
On positives: The LED light ring on the front is actually good, it does work as a very poor VGA webcam (with additional drivers) and the bag that comes with it is okay for storing dice. But if you want a bad webcam, dice bag or a torch then you can buy them all for a fraction of the price. None of these positives save the camera from being worthless as it totally fails to perform the task of being a camera.
I decided to drop $150 and bought a GoPro Hero 2014. Buy cheap, buy twice.
The picture quality was good, especially for being mounted on my motorcycle windshield.
Polaroid does a nice job with providing enough mounts for you to use in most areas.
I'd suggest that you get some 3M double sided mount tape (around $5 at Wmart) if you are going to put on your helmet or use the ball mount.
I did contact them about purchasing additional mounts as I do not see them advertised anywhere. I'd like to have mounts for the bikes already there.
Can't give it a 5 star due to the mount. I looks like their new one, the 1080p has the standard screw mount, which would open it up to all the rest of the normal camera mounts. The best suggestion that I could give to them would be to have a mount that would adapt to all the "normal" screw camera mounts.
