Bought this TV to wall mount in one of our spare rooms. It looks really nice in gloss white. Picture quality good (not quite as good as my Philips), instructions good, fast setup (a couple of minutes) plenty of leads, a nice remote and good sound. Build quality seems good (not sure who ultimately makes this brand) and the set is easy to lift since it has a recessed carrying handle.

Could have done with a free wall bracket (they would cost peanuts to make) and the connections could be more appropriately positioned to come out of the bottom of the set vertically instead of horizontally out of the back, in order to make wall mounting easier/flusher with the wall. However, the controls are on the side of the set which is actually ideal for wall mounting (you don't have to reach for the top of the set) so it is a mixed bag.

Even the box it came in was nice with a decent carrying handle. Overall I am impressed and whilst I wouldn't have this is a primary set, it is fantastic value for money as a secondary and I am very pleased with it.

This is a good 19" TV set for under £160. It looks good in white, the picture quality is great, the sound is fine and the menus are generally good.

There are some bad points though: (1) the viewing angle from below the screen is terrible - appears black from below (from the sides and above it is good - so as long as you can angle the TV so as you not looking at it from below you'll be fine), (2) the entry points for all the connections hang out from the back of the TV making flush wall mounting impossible, (3) you can only view 1 channel at a time in the TV guide.

As long as you can live with these bad points I would really recommend this set.

I bought it for my bedroom, and it's ideal. Due to the tv being white, it isn't intrusive. The freeview reception is perfect and I'm only using an amplified indoor aerial. I had reception problems with my old freeview box, which shows that this tv must have better freeview parts.
Great visual and sound quality.
Absolutely amazed I got it at that price.

Typed the above on 2nd Aug immediately after receiving it.
On the 25th Sept, there was a loud bang (made me jump out of my skin) followed by the smell of hot plastic, and it worked no longer.
Explains the price. *Sigh*
Damn, how can I change the rating on this thing? No stars!

Fantastic low price for a 19-inch HD-ready widescreen LCD with Freeview, though an initial glance does make it easy to see where the savings were made. The stand is a bit flimsy, the entire backplane flexes away from you when you push the power lead home, and some of the Freeview features appear to have been implemented as part of a GCSE project. For example, rather than showing a grid full of channels and times like you'd see on any standalone digibox, this Polaroid's electronic program guide (EPG) only shows limited information on one selected channel. It's easily the most useless EPG I've ever seen, and as such means you're missing out on one of the main reasons to go digital. Don't cancel your Radio Times subscription just yet!

Thing is, I'm not sure that such things would put me off. I'm still amazed at the vibrant picture, the decent quality sound, and the remote control layout which is a paragon of clarity. I bought this TV for my parents to use in their kitchen, and not only does it blend in perfectly with its surroundings, they can also actually use it and understand it and enjoy it. There's no reason it wouldn't work brilliantly in a bedroom too.

So to summarise:

THE GOOD
+ Unbelievably cheap widescreen HDTV
+ Integrated Freeview
+ Great picture, great sound
+ Takes no more than 2 minutes to get set up
+ Your mum and dad can use it
+ The right holes for wall mounting
+ VGA connection means it can double as a 1440x990 monitor
+ HDMI connection plus a host of others you'll never use (e.g. YPbPr)

THE BAD
+ Alarmingly low quality in places
+ Program guide a complete joke

We purchased two of these TVs and they were easy to set up and use. But after two weeks the digital tuners seemed to lose signal and the screen went blue, on both TVs within a day of each other. We checked the signal on our aerial and this was fine, proven by plugging in another Freeview box onto the aerial then into each TV via SCART on AV2. Amazon sent replacements within two days (excellent service) and arranged collection of the faulty ones as well. Here's hoping that the replacement two aren't from the same batch as the first two.
Follow up after five months (Feb 09): the replacement TVs are still working perfectly, and are highly recommended.

Bought this after searching high and low for a decent tv to hang in the kitchen. It's got a good picture for the price, excellent sound and freeview!! Your normally looking at another 50 to 100 pounds for freeview... Came with loads of leads and even the remote had batteries!!
The white model looks first class on the new cream kitchen tiles. Highly recommended.
