Polaroid filters continue the brand's long legacy of superior optical solutions. All our filters are carefully formulated to ensure consistent color and accuracy throughout the entire surface of the glass. Why? Consistent color means consistent high quality results. We know that a poorly made filter makes a great lens and camera worthless, that's why the our frame rings are constructed of special alloys that won't expand or contract over time or due to temperature extremes-it's also why we back our filters with an 10 year warranty-because we engineer them to last.
Like all Polaroid optics, Polaroid filters are precision manufactured to the most demanding of tolerances. This ensures consistent high quality results even after years of use.

For the cost these are a great alternative to getting a dedicated macro lens. I've used them on the 18-55 kit lens that came with my Nikon D3400. The free case they come with is very useful for transporting them around. The threads are well done as well. No issues getting these directly on to a 58mm lens thread or a 55-58 thread adaptor.
With the X2 and X4 you can make any combination from X1 to X7.depending on what you need. the X10 because of the shape of the lens does not have a front screw thread as the lens projects out forward more than the rest, so any filter has to go behind it.
Again depending of your camera and lens and light, focusing and getting the camera to operate may require some time and effort, which would not be the case with a true macro lens. However the price of these four lenses make it a great buy if you need real close up now and then. I bought a 52mm and 58mm set for my 18-55mm and 55-300mm lenses and am very pleased with the purchase.
Very noticeable blurring does occur before you see pixels, but have only tried 20MP with "ES-F Canon 18-55 mm IS STM", and an "EF Canon 75-300 mm IS USM II"; which aren't exactly lenses without some blur themselves.
For taking shots at high MP, and down-sampling to 1/4 of the original, they do ok. For lower MP cameras, it may not be so noticeable.
As they're filters there's no need to constantly change lens as you would with extensions.
I'd honestly recommend going down the extension tubes route if you're really interested in macro photography but if you'd rather only looking to have a little play then you can't go wrong.
Low price, a fraction of what you'd pay for a dedicated macro lens and some higher end extension tubes.
Easy to switch or stack.
Not as effective as Extension tubes or Macro Lenses.
