To be honest, I am re-watching everything Pokémon with my 3-year-old daughter. and couldn't find this movie cheaper anywhere else. so decided for the cost it was currently at, it'd be foolish to even bother anywhere else.
Still, this such a great movie that really doesn't matter where or when you watch (In chronological order after Season 1 episode 69 and before 70 but you would not really notice if watched as a standalone movie.
A great story-line, and obviously some pretty awesome characters. with the back story of how Mewtwo came about.
my daughter loved it and enjoyed it, which is a bonus.

Needless to say we all loved it. Since this came out when I was a kid and I’m a huge anime nerd it’s always going to be a classic to me

Loved this film since I was little so...what, 20 years plus. Definitely one I'll come back to until I pass on.
I was glad to see that, even though I don't see the need for a remake, it looks like they didn't change the story. If that doesn't show how good this film is, I don't know what would. If you like Pokémon, watch it.
