Was hooked from the start and couldn't put Plush down but I was cursing at the cliffhanger at the end
Plush is book #1 in the Billionaire Romance Series and the first book I have read by this author. I was gifted a copy of this book to read for Gemma Reads Too Much.
I hadn’t realised that this was a novella when I agreed to be part of the blog tour. If any of you have read my reviews before you will know that I’m not the greatest fan of short stories, personally I feel like they either rush the story to fit it all in or they drag the intro out then finish right when they start to get interesting.
Plush is the later, this book throws you into Allie and Coopers world but it all finishes before I really engaged with the characters.
I like Allie I think, she seems cool, slightly quirky and interesting but I feel like I barely scratched the surface on her character.
Cooper to be honest comes across like an a**hole, I’m not sure if he is but again we learn next to nothing about him in this novella apart from the dodgy ‘I must have you’ statement he declared!!!
I think of this was a full novel I could have really gotten into the story and embraced the characters but as a novella I kind of feel a bit robbed of the tension and build up that a full novel creates.
This story has masses of potential, it has a great plot and it ends on a massive cliff-hanger, but by the time I was really getting excited about the story it finished!!!
For me the curse of the novella strikes again so I give Plush 3.5 wish it were a full novel stars.
