The leg with suction cup is no joke, its really sturdy and holds cam really still. I am really happy with my purchase and its well worth of £40. Primary use is for computer chips and repairs. Resolution this cam can provide you with focus is absolutely fantastic!
I did not test it on Chrome OS or android yet as I was not in need yet.
Using it is simple and straightforward. You just plug it into your USB port on PC or laptop (mine got recognized automatically on Windows 10) install the software supplied or download latest and off you go.
Magnification is something else. I had to include some pictures for you to believe (ballpoint pen tip, 1 euro cent coin, t-shirt fabric, high resolution mobile LCD screen). I doubt there is much more to add... One tip - try zooming in and out all the way until you hit physical stop. I was amazed of magnification out of the box just to find out that pass that blurry focus loss is another new step of even greater magnification. So don't forget to max out on both ends. You are welcome :)
As with everything there's obviously some things to consider. For one is the ease of working with the flexible arm. It is there more as a just in case solution that full time option in my opinion. With magnification at that level you need some sort of fine thread like adjustment. You can obviously use it without the arm provided but you might as well think of some solution to do fine adjustments up and down. But that's for extreme zoom and continuous steady image. For casual use supplied options are fine.
Overall I would highly recommend this little microscope. It is handy in many cases and nearly must have in your household. 5 out of 5.

If you can't get a full view of a coin, set it up as in my picture.
You can raise it up as much as you wish.
Versatile piece of kit.

I downloaded the viewer app from the manufacturer's web site and plugged it into my Windows PC and that was it. The camera provided crisp, bright images of the tiny surface mount components I needed to work on. The light and focus work very well at it's all powered from the USB cable so no additional power supplies or wires. The cable supports regular USB-A with a USB-C adapter so it will work with everything.
The zoom from 50-250x is a bit of a misnomer. There is no zoom control; rather it works like a regular microscope where you move the object closer or further away to get the desired picture. The focus control then allows you to see the picture clearly at whatever distance you have decided to view from.
It comes with a sturdy stand and mount that work well. Overall, a really nice product and a very good value.

Trotzdem: Tolles Mikroskop. Das Ergebnis ist sein Geld wert. Und es hat mir sehr weitergeholfen.
