About the Author
Evie Hunter is actually two authors Caroline McCall and Eileen Gormley who met at a creative writing workshop in 2010. On discovering that they shared a passion for erotic fiction, they became the best of friends. In early 2012 they got a chance to co-write a series of erotic novellas for an online publisher. When they completed the second one without killing each other, they decided to take on something bigger. Eventually, they emerged into daylight, clutching The Pleasures of Winter, saying 'Never again'. Thankfully they soon forgot the agony and The Pleasures of Summer is the result of their second marathon writing adventure.

I warmed easily to both Summer and Flynn. He's sexy, full of fire and wit and is dominant and protective. As a Soldier, he is always cool, calm and collected, however his latest mission tests his resolve to the max. Summer. Daughter of a wealthy airline owner, she's the proverbial spoilt only child and she has a stalker. Feisty, strong-willed and stubborn she resents having a bodyguard. Particularly one who is dominant and bossy...in more ways than one.
Scratch the surface and both Flynn and Summer are deep, interesting chracters. It is well written, flows wells and their stubborn argumentative banter and disagreements lead to some very hot action. The Dom/Sub aspect isn't over the top or shocking and befits the storyline perfectly. With twists, surprises and some action heading towards the finish line, it was a book I couldn't put down.
A great read that I would definitely recommend.
I enjoyed reading the banter and comedy of wits between these two. There were some pretty hot scenes and all in a remote Scottish setting which was different.
You will find yourself caring about these two as you get into the book and anticipate fun and 'frolics'. The book typically has some bad guys, a jealous ex and a strangely affectionate brother, plus the usual nail-biting rescue scenario, but all in all, this is quite a fresh and enjoyable read.
I find it's better paying £2.99 for something well edited and well written than a cheap 77p bargain. It's false economy and you get what you pay for.
After reading the pleasures of winter I had waited for other books in the Pleasures series to become available.
Has my eyes opened if you know what I mean!
Need to get myself a Flynn.
Ill definitely have ice with mine...
Can't wait for more
