Not a bad product, but too big and unwieldy to carry about in the pocket, which is surely the purpose of this book? How else would you take it around with you when out and about? Also, the pages are of normal book-quality paper, wheich means that they become dirty and disintegrate easily when thumbed a lot by sweaty fingers in hot countries. Would work well enough if you didn't need to use it too ofen and had a bag to carry it around in.

this booklet has a lot of things that are not related to travel necessities, and lack of many things any travelers would face. For example, under food and beverage, this book doesn't even have a picture of a cow or beef, a sheep/goat or lamb, etc.

I have several of these point books and although have yet to use them abroad. I also got one for my mum as she lives in Europe. She now carries a book like this everywhere with her. This Please point book is the most up to-date in the market at the moment and covers every topic you can think off. I would recommend getting one if you travel a lot.

4.0 out of 5 stars Kind of big 30 April 2013
By Lisa Erskine - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
The book uses photos instead of graphics like Kwikpoint. It is pretty thorough. Only....it is rather large to slip into a pocket, purse or carry around easily. Kwikpoint is much smaller and easier to carry.

The size is: 6 1/2" L x 5 1/2 " H x 1/8" W

There is no way to put this in a pants pocket, coat pocket, fanny pack and a small purse. It is too big.

It is pretty thorough. I just think the photos could be smaller and the book smaller to make it easier to use. It needs to be shrunk down to make it more useful for traveling.

5.0 out of 5 stars Good variety and handy size 25 Jun. 2013

I love the variety of pictures and handy pocket size - study en route to your destination so when you get there and you are in a situation where you need to communicate, you'll remember that you had seen a picture in your handy little dictionary - you'll be able to quickly find it and share it with the people you are trying to talk with - good fun!

Not everyone who ventures out of the country can communicate with 'foreign speakers' well. This picture dictionary gets the job done with ease. Any thin object can be the pointer to a wish or need fulfilled. You'll find almost any desired thingamajig or whatyoumaycallit in these pages. Venture forth with joy!

3.0 out of 5 stars It's OK but I didn't use it. 17 July 2014
By San Diego Consumer - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Paperback Verified Purchase
Great idea but I never had to use it. Most businesses in major cities around the world all speak enough English to get by with what this book can do for you. I did not travel too far off the major arteries in a trip around the world. I found the finer aspects of negotiation to be where we had great challenges and just pointing to something in the book was not all that helpful. Gestures seemed to work as well if not better. Even in remote areas in China the merchants were very savvy and could say Dollar? Yuan? and then punched in numbers on a calculator! But the idea of the book was cute and we carried it around everywhere.
3.0 out of 5 stars needs to fit in pocket 22 Dec. 2015

Pictures are nice but, should be slightly smaller so, one can carry it around easier. Anyway, didn't really need it but, the price was good.
