I bought the first game for Christmas, about one month after it was released. I was extremely impressed with it, I didn't think anything could top it. But soon, I began to long to be able to create things which were just not possible (Without painstakingly bending the game engine) with LBP1's game engine.
LBP2 answers this call, everything has just been simplified. MediaMolecule have been able to take what the community wants this time, to allow creation to become easier, faster and more enjoyable overall. The story mode this time looks like there was more thought put into it; There's a clear storyline, as a pose to "Someone's kidnapping all of the creators, go stop him!".
If you're creative, or you find yourself daydreaming a lot, or you just want to get something so you can make something to entertain your kid or something, this is the game for you! I would definately, and have already, advise friends to buy this game. Worth every penny!
