Playmags - 100 Piece ValueSet!
Playmags 100-piece set includes a car base with wheels and eight different shapes so that kids can now stretch their imagination to the next level.
More shapes mean more designs, and more designs means more hours of fun play.
Educational Fun: Playmags shapes and patterns provide great motor skills. Encourages imaginative and creative play, and enhances math, geometry, and science skills.
Dr. Toy Review: Playmags Magnetic Building Blocks attract on all sides and the combinations form many different shapes and structures.
From flat designs to squares, pyramids, plus many more unlimited geometric shapes. Tiles easily connect, which prompts kids to move from constructing two-dimensional to three-dimensional creations.
Magnificent high rise 3D towers are designed by kids who have developed into critical thinkers through creative play.
As they build, kids develop tools for spatial problem-solving tasks, logical thinking, and math reasoning. Blocks easily connect and inspire creativity, brain development patterning, shape recognition, building, and motor skills.
The National Parenting Center Review: Playmags are a truly remarkable open-ended building toy. Kids and parents alike were captivated and couldn't stop building an endless variety of shapes, structures, you name it.
The set comes with 100 brightly colored, translucent pieces. There are triangles in three different sizes and two square sizes. Magnets are inserted inside the edges and that's about all you need to know.
The magnets are strong enough to construct pretty solid structures, these pieces got a real workout but never broke or shattered. Parents noted that while the basic idea is building and playing they saw that their children were learning physics, geometry, math, spatial reasoning and architecture without even knowing it.
18 x triangles; 32 x Squares; 4 x big Squares; 12 x Equilateral triangles; 8 x Long triangles; 10 x Rectangles; 1 x Car base; 15 x Windows

Top Customer Reviews
Well-built and good quality
Large pieces, easy for a child to hold
Simple connection method
Easy to disassemble
Tidies away nicely
Doesn’t hurt as much when you accidentally tread on the pieces
Objects you build are quite fragile
No advanced dexterity requirements so might not be challenging enough for some
Limited creativity due to size and range of pieces
Having been brought up on a diet of Lego, Stickle Bricks and Meccano, plus another house-building set I forget the name of which had little cream and red slide-in brick pieces and child-unfriendly metal rods, I am always keen to see what’s going on in the world of creativity tools for the young’uns to see who’s moved the game on.
Having never heard of Playmags before, I was surprised at the decent quality and well built nature of this set. In essence, you put together the brightly coloured tiles which connect with each other using magnets. The magnetism is strong enough to hold them in place, but not so strong as to be difficult to pull apart. There are pro’s and con’s to this, in that a younger child of say 2 years could happily put bits together without as much frustration as could be witnessed by pieces that require interlocking such as a traditional brick-based toy. The con’s to this are that it is not as challenging so the dexterity requirements are not as high. Also, it means the things you make won’t stand up to any bashing about. Make a car for example, and you can push it around gently, but don’t expect to ram it up against the cupboards or hold it with any force as the car will collapse. Perhaps that in a way can encourage children to be gentle?Read more ›
