About the Author

New York Times Bestselling author K. Bromberg writes contemporary novels that contain a mixture of sweet, emotional, a whole lot of sexy, and a little bit of real. She likes to write strong heroines, and damaged heroes who we love to hate and hate to love. A mom of three, she plots her novels in between school runs and soccer practices, more often than not with her laptop in tow. Since publishing her first book in 2013, K. has sold over one million copies of her books and has landed on the New York Times, USA Today, and Wall Street Journal Bestsellers lists over twenty-five times. In April, she’ll release The Player, the first in a two-book sports romance series (The Catch, book 2, will be released late June), with many more already outlined and ready to be written. She loves to hear from her readers so make sure you check her out on social media or sign up for her newsletter to stay up to date on all her latest releases and sales: http://bit.ly/254MWtI

“ Clear mind, hard heart “

The player by K.Bromberg is incredibly well –written. The way K.Bromberg describes everything and makes you feels like you are right in the book experiencing everything. Indeed, her books always leaves me begging and craving for more. They just reach right into my heart and connect me so deeply with each of the characters. It was not different with Easton and Scout.

Easton Wylder is a MLB legend- He is hot, sexy, talented and successful. He desperately needs to go back on the field after his injury. The young daughter of the famous PT Doc Dalton, turned up to the stadium – to everybody surprise- to take the job and work with Easton.

The more time they spend with each other and the closer they get. They are compatible in so many ways that it is overwhelming. You want them to yield to temptation, to forget about their past and their secrets- but life is not that easy.

“Easton hits all my buttons: hot, athletic, funny, and a bit of a mystery.”
“if that isn’t perfect. And fitting. Wanting a woman I can’t have.”

It is really rare to find a true strong hero or heroine but this series has both. I loved the fact that every time they “ had a day” , they heal each other and that makes them even stronger.
“She can stare at my stadium from the darkness of my condo and put into words everything that the sight of it makes me feel. A woman who can understand that is not normal.”

Easton Wylder is *SWOON so affectionate physically and verbally but he is also deeply possessive and totally alpha. Easton‘s persistence when it comes to Scout was sweet, endearing and sexy. I loved him right away, I loved their dynamic.
Scout fight his affection but only because of her deep secrets and her promise.

This book is a prime example that K Bromberg is definitely an author to be reckoned with. Being the first book in a two part series, or so I'm led to believe, is one of the reasons this book took me by complete surprise.

I love to hate Cliffhangers and I'm not saying this book has a cliffhanger, but imagine this....Me over dramatically falling to my knees at the end and crying out Noooooooooo! Yeah thats how this book made me feel, but that's a good thing, apart from the fact that I now need book 2 like I need air to breathe, but this book got me hook, line and sinker.

Easton Wylder, hot shot baseball player for the Austin Aces, has been out of action due to a potentially career threatening injury. His hope for a swift return lies in the hands of Scout Dalton, Physical Therapist.

As with all good books the lead characters had incredible chemistry. Easton's humour was playful and add that to his extreme sexiness and an air of vulnerability, but still maintaining an alpha male quality, made him absolutely perfect.

From the very beginning I easily got into Scout's mindset and what I loved about her was her sarcasm and wit, especially towards Easton, but at the same time it touched me how much she just needed someone to love her, but feeling like she had noone to turn to.

It isn't very often that a book takes me by complete surprise and a lot of this may have been that I went into this blindly, having not even read the synopsis.

K Bromberg is simply just one of those authors for me, where by I'm fairly confident I'm going to be immersed in another world for a few hours and this book did not disappoint in any way, shape or form.

I really wanted to love this book but I was quite disappointed........there just seemed to be no real story line apart from the obvious, everything seemed to happen quite quickly with no build up and I was waiting for some kind of twist or something eventful to happen but nothing, I forced myself to finish the book as I got bored..shame I love all of her other books…..

OMG!!! Great book but that ending!! WTF!!!! Talk about a cliffhanger! Great storyline, love everything about it. It's real, captivating, emotional, sexy and interesting. The characters feel extremely real and their chemistry and banter is great to see. The story flows beautifully and the way it's written draws you in, I felt like a bystander looking into someone's most private life. My only criticism is having to wait till June to see how this incredible story will end and see if Easton and Scout manage to hold it together.

Downloaded this book due to The Driven Series being amongst the very best erotica I have ever read so I had very high hopes about this book. I wish I could give it 5 stars and I was hoping to love this book as much as The Driven Series but I really didn't enjoy it. I am currently 40% of the way through and I've had to give up.
I don't feel like the characters are particularly strong or likeable. The main male lead doesn't have me swooning like in other books and to be honest he is a bit dull.

Can't put my finger on it.. I just didn't like it very much.

There are few authors that can write dialogue scenes like K Bromberg. I almost found them to be too much in this book. Easton is a chatterbox. There are several scenes that I just wanted him to be quiet and not in a bad way due to what he was saying- just that he constantly spoke too much. He had too many long dialogue scenes.
Compared to the driven series neither Scout or Easton are as flushed out as characters. I felt myself connecting more to Easton than Scout.
From the beginning it is very obvious what is going to happen so I did find the novel a bit boring and slow moving. There isn't much tension besides when Santiago is in the scenes and those are limited.
Overall an enjoyable read, but in my opinion not one of Bromberg's best novels.
