About the Author

Matt Kuhn is a staff writer for the CBS hit show "How I Met Your Mother" and helps write Barney's Blog on the show's website. He lives in Los Angeles, California.

Barney Stinson works at a corporation, and regularly "suits up" to help his lovelorn and altogether pathetic bro Ted Mosby. Basically the coolest dude ever, Barney Stinson has been compared to the Fonz-but Barney is much, much more awesome. Stinson lives in New York, New York-and appears weekly on the hit CBS show "How I Met Your Mother" with his friends Ted, Robin, Lily and Marshall. --This text refers to the Paperback edition.

This is such a great book...if you seen the episode you'll know what kind of stuff to expect. This has over 75 different plays (including one for 'chicks') and advice on how to successfully perform them.
This book is funny from the very start and is such a fun read...if you liked the Bro Code then you'll love this as this is, in my opinion, the better book.
A must buy for HIMYM fans and bros alike!

Amazing and funny, very easy to read (even for a non-english reader like me). If you like HIMYM and you enjoy with Barney's theories, tricks, cheats, etc that's your book.

This book is brilliant, it is just so hilarious. I love 'How I met You Mother', especially Barney. The plays in this book are so fun to play around with. When my friends and I go out, we choose a play in the book to see if it would work in real life. Sad as it sounds the 'Ted Mosby' actually worked. We did change the play a bit. It said to were a tuxedo. We did not like that idea, we just dressed as if we just got broken up. And it worked. We were not shocked by this.

I read this on a trip from London to Paris and at times found myself cracking up so much that the people around me probably thought I was high. A great book if you need a pick me up. Barney is just AWESOME! The shipper also sent this pretty quick and without issue. A must have for your poker games or sunday football get togethers with your buddies...

Need a play to run on someone, stuck on how to approach a beautiful girl. Fear not! For you have the Playbook, ranging from all plays Barney Stinson has completed. The Naked Man, The Ted Mosby and of course The Lorenzo Von Matterhorn. Whether you're a novice or an expert I challenge you. Challenge accepted?

If you've seen 'how i met your mother' - and if you haven't you have not lived! It's insane - then you will love this book, especially if:
a)You are a guy (or a bro) - this probably isn't a book for chicks, although there is a small 'The Playbook for chicks' inside, and i suppose it might be good for you if you want a laugh.
b)You like Barney, and who doesn't?
c)You've seen the episode of 'how i met you're mother' entitled: 'The Playbook'. It is an awesome episode, Barney pulls off the sketches brilliantly.

Finally, if you're thinking about getting this book also check out 'The Bro Code' and 'Bro on the go'. They're both good books. If you have to choose between the three then i would pick 'The Playbook' over them both, then 'The Bro Code' - 'Bro on the go' is just a smaller easier to use version of this and although it is good to have them both, in my opinion you can have 'The Bro Code' without 'Bro On The Go' but you can't have 'Bro On The Go' without 'The Bro Code'. Just my opinion.

If this helped you I'd love to know, if not I'm sure you can complain somehow. Be Awesome.

Then you will like this book.

I cant really say anything about the contents without spoiling the fun of reading it, but as a big fan of How i meet your mother TV series i must say this book is great.
You must be familiar with the series and of course the character Barney (Neil P. Harris) to understand the jokes in their full glory.

I got the 2 books and i add a great time reading them, especially because it adds content to the character and all the references made to this fictional books in the series.
