I, however, have had great fun with it. The music is written in a way from which real musicians would recoil in horror, and the tunes are simplified to the point where you can play them with one hand - which is just as well, because although I do have a left hand, it is apparently even less musically gifted than my right. Yet now, thanks to this book, I can knock out a version of "Money, Money, Money" which those who are feeling kindly disposed towards me (normally my daughter, who still has some making up to do for getting me to spend £150 on a keyboard she never plays) will claim to recognise.
Personally, I find the E-Z-Play notation (where the note letter is written inside the symbol) reassuring, and the "large print" notes themselves easier to follow as they meander up and down those confusing lines. I will never be a great - or even competent - pianist, but thanks to this book I can have a stab at some great tunes and, with practice, not mangle them too awfully.

The point is, there is no bass clef. There are no instructions as to how to play the left hand.
