A collection of pre-season articles and interviews from some of the internet and football writings most interesting voices. The price of an issue of a glossy football magazine, and plenty of content. There is inevitably some repetition - there are only so many times you can read that Michael Carrick or Robin Van Persie are United's most important player in the season ahead, but some of the content is laugh out loud funny. I should caveat my review with the fact that some of the contributors are friends and online-friends of mine, but I would recommend this to any United fan looking for an in depth season preview to make you laugh and think for the price of a (really) fancy cup of coffee.

It's also an enjoyable read when listening to the fans views on football as opposed to the generic football articles you read in our everyday newspapers. Here, journalists and fans are in your face and as honest as you'd like when it comes to their thoughts and feelings over the next season of football to be expected at Old Trafford. Some of it you might not agree with, whereas part of it you will, but almost all of it will definitely keep your reading to the end.

HASH(0x8cf246f4) out of 5 stars Great summary of journo and fan opinions 14 Aug. 2013

Pros: timely, broad coverage of United from plenty of sports journalists from across the globe. Fans included as well

Cons: some grammar and punctuation errors, a lack of uniform style at times (resulting from the multiple authors), no super thorough analysis of the squad or our tactics.

All of which is fine; the book is essentially a summation of the conversations you'll hear in your local until the season starts. A little bit of whinging about Moyes, some concern about our rivals, dismay about our lack of transfer dealings and some dire predictions about the year to come.

Summary: not a classic, but you could spend the money on Candy Crush.
