Product works well and I am very pleased with it...... Do bear in mind however there are two types of Dvi sockets with different pin configurations.... this product will only fit the latest Dvi socket with two pins above and below the large flat pin. Older sockets do not have these extra pin placements so will not accommodate this converter. Check before purchase and if OK you will be pleased with this product...... Unbeatable at this price but delivery can be slow. Can recomend.......

If I could give this an extra star I would. The connector is the right size to be fitted side by side in a tight space and all exposed metal parts are gold flashed. The larger than normal knurled screws make fitting by hand easy so a screwdriver is not necessary. Also the access to the slotted ends is also clear, making using a screw driver to fix just as easy, if required. The female DVI part is fully populated even the analogue parts, which are not used on the HDMI male socket side. This product is exactly as described and I'm blown away by the price and quality. I have bought a similar connector from a well known specialist high-street electrical store which cost over 9 times as much and this is the superior product by far.

decided to just buy a new gpu that supports hdmi rather than deal with cables and converters

This took a month of Sundays to arrive and when it finally got here, it turned out to be complete rubbish: one of the pins sheared off in the computer socket, which created all sorts of problems. To call this item complete garbage is to seriously over-rate it. I'd give it 0 stars if I could.

Able to output from PC DVI to HDTV with additional HDMI cable. No way would a shop sell you one for under a pound!

Had no problem fitting this or using it. Worth pointing out that there are two pin configurations for Dvi and the differences are subtle. I took the time to check and this fitted OK but it was a bit tighter than I expected. Works well but I have used this to convert an old monitor so I am not taking the converter in and out. In fact I have planned to "fit and forget". and that it has managed to do. It does say that this is coming from China and mine came in two weeks which was OK with me.

exactly as ordered - delivered on time - be aware, you cannot go vga - dvi-i - hdmi out ( if that's what you were ever going to try) - I was trying to go from an old comp (vga) to a brand new tv with no dvi (only hdmi) via dvi-i -

I've used this to connect a DVI-I output from a graphics card to a monitor with HDMI input. It does its job very well and looks solid and well made. Do check what type of DVI connector you have before buying (DVI-D vs DVI-D), I didn't know that different types of connectors existed before I set out to buy one.
