5.0 out of 5 stars CAT-alog - fun for my cat lady mom
Reviewed in Canada on 18 March 2013
I gave this book to my mom for her birthday and she loves it. She said she couldn't put it down. It's full of obscure feline information that even a cat lady like my mom didn't know. You can open it at any page and find something interesting.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Crazy Cat Lady is Pleased (Again!)
Reviewed in the United States on 23 March 2010
Okay, so I originally bought this book a long time ago. It was my favorite cat book and I carried it everywhere - including school. I left it there overnight, and the next day it was gone. So on June 17 (or maybe it was July...) I was on amazon.com and stumbled upon this book. Overjoyed, I immediatly bought it. This book has tons of information. Some of it is fictional and humourous while some is factual and interesting. I learned a lot about cats from thsi book. :D I hope you purchase this book and enjoy it as much as I did.

EDIT (2021): My review up there was from 2010. More than a decade ago. Last night my brother sent me a meme on Snapchat about cats and I literally went to the bookshelf in my office to whip out this book and send him some pictures of jokes in it (the antigravity butterology theory, specifically. actually, let me just add a picture…) and I ended up spending an hour reading through parts of it for the millionth time. This thing has made it though so many purges of books (donations! I would never throw out a book), from my parents house to college to my apartment and now it sits in *my* house! I still tell people about this book! In 2008-9 this book was basically my entire personality, but it’s still totally worth the read today in 2021. Some of the websites they mention might not be up anymore, but all the info on cat behavior and history (and of course the jokes) is still fantastic.

5.0 out of 5 stars Planet Cat out of this planet!
Reviewed in the United States on 7 November 2007
We see hundreds of books come across our desks every week. It's our job to review them on-air and online. Once in a blue moon we see one great piece of literature that we want to keep for our own personal library. Planet Cat is definitely a must have for anyone that considers themselves a cat aficionado. Planet Cat is tidbits of great, and sometimes trivial, but always fun facts...perfect for bathroom reading! I learned that cats have 24 whiskers - which may not pay my bills, but something I will tuck away in my gray matter until I need it. Thick, awesome book! Well worth the price...and it makes a great gift. My feline guardians will all get a copy for Christmas.

5.0 out of 5 stars Highly Recommended Book!
Reviewed in the United States on 26 May 2009
I honestly cannot get enough of this book! It's so incredibly informative! I love the clever quotes and tidbits on each page. It's laid out like a 2nd grade Social Studies book...It has the bulk of the amazing text in the center, and also has little quotes, pictures, and extra boxes of information (Like what cats represent in different cultures and eras, and how to say "cat" in 63 languages) off in the margins, or taking up a whole page. The text is in black, with accents in red.
I highly recommend this book to anyone with a love of cats, or even just a mild interest. By the time you crack open this book, I can guarantee, you'll be a cat lover.
