I read the blurb, I read reviews of other books by this writer, I read her biography and thought this would be a good regency read, but no, again another author who thinks you can put modern characters and ways of thinking into corsets and breeches and you have a historical romance. No way Jose.
The plotline was interesting but was not utilised properly. It was entirely probable then for a rich titled man to be arrogant, but he would also have had manners, and the manner in which this "hero" approached the heroine in the street whilst she was with her grandmother was ridiculous.
Another glaring anachronism, why would an English aristocrat celebrate Thanksgiving???? As far as I know the UK is still not part of the good ole USA so stop it.
I have returned again to my Georgette Heyers, which by now I can quote verbatim. File this author with the lower reaches of Mills & Boon, and look elsewhere for regency romance, this doesn't get close.

This is a short story and extremely predictable. My kindle told me I still had 70% to read but the story was over, the remaining 70% was advertising other books. Very disappointing and irritating.
