I received this book for an honest review

'Pitching for Amalie' by Hayley Faiman is about a girl who meets a guy in a nightclub.

Amalie is a girl who has come out of an abusive relationship. She is now contented in her life despite her distant family.

Jarrod is an athlete who say Amalie on the dance floor and decided that she would be his.

There life and relationship goes from 0 to 60 quickly and you see Jarrods protective/caveman side more than once in the book.

There are twists and turns in the story that will keep you on the edge.

'Pitching for Amelie' is the first book in the series. I cant wait to read the other girls stories.

HASH(0x9e81e888) out of 5 stars This One Knocks it Out of the Ball Park! 4 April 2015
By Lisa Kane - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
This story was a fresh take on the sports romance theme. Amalie is a curvy, smart, sexy woman who is a ultra sound technician by day and an in demand pin up model by night. She meets a hot stranger in the VIP section of a night club and is instantly smitten. But she leaves before finding out who he is.

Mr. Mystery tracks her down, no way is he letting this Danish hottie get away from him. He makes his moves on her, introduces her to his friends, but neglects to tell her a little secret. Ok, maybe his big secret-he's Jarrod Harrison, the starting pitcher for the New York Yankees. Amalie doesn't follow sports and doesn't realize exactly how big a deal he is in the sports world. She has worked hard to escape the criticism of her uber successful parents, but most importantly, she has rebuilt her life after Eric, her psycho ex, tried to destroy her.

As Jarrod and Amalie get closer and more serious about each other, a threat from Amalie's past threatens to take everything away from the both of them. Can Jarrod keep Amalie safe and what does the future hold for them?

This is a well written, fast paced story and I really enjoyed it.

HASH(0x9c4074e0) out of 5 stars Finally an adult relationship that was fun to read 3 May 2015
By Snips - Published on Amazon.com

I liked this book, especially Amalie, the female protagonist of this book. She was smart and confident in herself and her decisions in her life despite experiencing a heinous moment in her young life. It was made worse when she received blame and no support from her immediate family and best friend. The contrast in Amalie's family to Jarrod's, the male protagonist and romantic interest, were astonishing. I admired the strong characters of both of our protagonists which led to an intense chemistry and attraction between the two. Their physical relationship was inevitable from the instant lust when they first met, but both of them waited several weeks after getting to know one another before they decided to take it to the next level. It was great to read about an adult relationship where they communicated freely with one another. They always attacked their hardships together, which was refreshing. I did find Amalie's lack of baseball knowledge odd since she lived in one of the biggest baseball cities, Boston, for 7 years, but this is minor. There were a lot of racy intimate encounters that could of set fire to your e-reader. At times, it was overwhelming and I did get tired of Jarrod asking who Amalie belonged to, but overall I did like the story and recommend this book wholeheartedly.

HASH(0x9e15d654) out of 5 stars The characters all flow well and have just the perfect amount of background information. 21 Feb. 2016
By Itsy Bitsy Book Bits - Published on Amazon.com
Format: Kindle Edition
Amalie and Jo have lived in Boston for a few years now, they decided to move there after high school together. After a difficult past with a controlling ex and abusive boyfriend Eric (who also happens to be her brothers best friend) and a rough friendship Amalie and Jo decide to try the dating pool again. After a series of blind dates Amalie once again helps Jo out and uses an excuse to pull her out of another bad date. Instead of going home that night they decide to go to a club...that night changes everything... Amalie meets a large mysterious gorgeous man named Jarrod. After some stalkerish behavior he talks her into a date, which Jo tries to flirt with him when he picks up Amalie. After a few more dates Jarrod has to return to New York where he lives. While visiting Jarrod for the weekend Amelie's brother Niklas calls and wants to meet up...even though he hasn't spoke to her in almost 3 years. After finding out what Jarrod does for a living and meeting some of his team mates and their wives Amalie feels comfortable and relaxed with them, something she hasn't felt in a while. Hayley Faiman does a great job with "Pitching for Amalie". The characters all flow well and have just the perfect amount of background information so you can understand but not be over informed with useless information. Amalie decided she wants to trust Jarrod with her past about Eric so she tells him everything that happened..." he was so sweet at first, but as time went on, he started to morph into a cruel boy and then a vicious man" Then that one thing happens, the game changer, you know it’s coming you just don't know when. After overcoming her past and moving forward after meeting Jarrod will Niklas, Jo, and Eric destroy everything Amalie has worked so hard to overcome or will her and Jarrod prevail over everything and move forward together and finally get the happy ending she deserves after such a bad past.

HASH(0x9d4409f0) out of 5 stars Love and lust are a heady mix… 29 Mar. 2016

*3.5 stars*
.
Amalie Aagaard is an intriguing character. She has suffered trauma in her past, even lost her family amidst it all, but she has pulled herself through it. She has a regular job by day and a totally artsy job by night to mix and shake things up. With her best friend Jo she is making the most, and the best, of her life even if she hasn’t met the “one” yet. For that, cue Jarrod Harrison. A chance meeting at a club starts a whirlwind relationship that, for all its speed, is love-filled, lust-fueled and wholly entertaining! They both have secrets but they are going to have to come clean if they want any chance of forever…

There are so many things about this story that I loved. Amalie and Jarrod had sparks and sexual tension between from the start. Secrets had them dancing around each other even as their physical attraction was instant and intense. Amalie was a blend of flirty and serious while Jarrod was her match with his alpha to the max, super sexy demeanor. No wonder their conversations became heated so often!

Love, lust and danger intertwined into what will be only the first of many reads I am looking forward to from this author. While a few things didn’t resonate – a few scenes that seemed out of place and the way these two talked so possessively about their body parts didn’t hit the sexy scale for me –the unique flavour of the writing style and the quirky characters created will have me coming back.

I know there are a lot more baseball players on the team than Jarrod and I can’t wait for more boys of summer!

HASH(0x9c0f71c8) out of 5 stars 3 FOR 1 HOME RUN! 17 July 2015

For the love of baseball! This a great read! The cover made me buy the book. Amalie and Jarrod’s sweet hot romance keep me up past bedtime to finish it.
Amalie is a 6th feet tall ultrasound technician living with her best friend and roommate Jo. One night, she meets a tall, sexy guy in the VIP room at a local club. Then she leaves the club before she learns anything about him. But she doesn’t forget the “mystery” guy who made her feel feminine and vulnerable, especially while being sensitive about her height and curves. So, to capitalize on that hot duo, she indulges in a “hobby” as a pinup model.
A few days later, he calls her out of the blue and takes her out on a date. The next thing you know she is dating “mystery” man with the red Ferrari and NYC penthouse apartments. He introduces her to his “colleagues” and takes her to work with him. Who takes the girl you dating to work with you? She wonders. Turns out Mr. Mystery Man, Jarrod, is a professional baseball player. Amalie does not follow sports and has no idea what a big deal Jarrod is in the sports world.
The story is very romantic; the sex is very HOT! Everything Jarrod throws, in and out of the bedroom, has a lot of heat behind it. He is a guy who wants to introduce her to his friends and family. He is the perfect guy to protect and love her. The romance is very beautiful with elements of suspense. I hope to see more Boys of Summer romances from this new author.
