We first met Oliver Sage in the first book The Azure Kingdom he was the chosen one. The one that would marry Alison, This arrangement was made years ago before Alison even knew anything about this whole different world out there. But it's not to be as Alison choose to be with Lucas. After repairing his broken heart over what might of been Oliver must attend the wedding of Alison and Lucas, talk about rubbing salt in the wounds.
At the wedding Oliver stops Alison's new sister in law Addison from falling over as soon as Oliver and Addison have skin to skin contact it is like a bolt of electricity between the two of them but things dont go that easily for Oliver Sage as even though there is peacement between the Kings of Pine and the Azure realms you can still feel that tension and emotions still run high on both sides.
Will Oliver and Addison be able to over the prejudice that is around them? Will Oliver get his girl and get his happily ever after?
Your have to read it and find out
This story was great, I thoroughly enjoyed it and was swept away by the dragons, magic and will they won't they tug of the storyline. It was fascinating to see how the characters broke down their prejudices and preconceived ideas about each other and gave in to their instincts. The dream sequences were beautifully written and I really connected to these characters as they were so confused by their feelings and the choices they faced. A really good fantasy romance I devoured this whole in one sitting. Again I loved the hint at the end and can't wait for the next book in this series that is quickly becoming a favourite of mine.
A four star magical read.
Wow! The Pine Forest is another great addition to the series. This one is Oliver and Addison’s story. Oliver and Addison’s kingdoms have been at odds with each other for years. Oliver is a knight that has vowed to protect his kingdom, The Pine, and Addison is the daughter of the king of Azure. While there is a treaty and peace rules the land for now, it’s still hard for some in both kingdoms to let go off the war and those lost. However, once Oliver touched Addison, there was an instant, overwhelmingly powerful connection between the two. These two could never be together, right? Addi says it best when she tells Oliver, “I’m well aware of what happens in war, but that doesn’t cleanse the blood from your hands.” Oh, if it could only be that easy….fate seems to have other plans for these two!
Oliver is all a knight should be, but he also has some magical powers as well, as does Addison. Both are extremely brave and independent. Addi challenges every stereotype of what a princess is. She is tough, and she doesn’t back down from anything. She is even in control of her love life. She’s been involved with a knight, Wesley, in her own kingdom, but he doesn’t make her come alive or feel the powerful current that Oliver does. What makes the book even more magical are the dreams that she and Oliver share….holy hotness!!!! And, Oliver’s words to her in those dreams, oh be still my heart. When he says, “…but each encounter I have with you, whether awake or asleep, you take up more of my mind.” What woman in her right mind wouldn’t melt at those words? The two are perfectly suited to each other.
As with the first book, it’s a perfect fairytale for adults…romance, knights, and magic, combined with spice!Read more ›

This one is about Addison from the Azure kingdom, and Oliver from the Pine Forest. Former rivaling kingdoms, where the peace is still new and fragile.
I love their story. There are others whose story I think should be told. I hope they get their chance. #Sel
I would give this book 3.5 stars. I honestly didn't expect to like Addison and Oliver as much as I did, based on their characters in the first book. I highly recommend reading the first book of the series before this one. I feel it would be a little difficult reading this without knowing the backstory, especially since this book picks up immediately after the last book ends. I was asked by the author for an honest review.
