As I anticipate taking the top off my Pi from time to time, I put the screws through from the bottom, so the nuts are on top. Its not as pretty
but this means I can undo the nuts and lift off the top to fit/remove the ribbon cable from the header without taking the case apart.
The case runs warm to the touch when the Pi is working hard compiling things from source code but nothing alarming.
One or two of the pieces are quite fragile. You may not want to allow a young person to assemble this case unsupervised.
A nice addition would be 'light pipes' to bring the light from the LEDs to the top surface of the case. Of course this would increase the cost and its something a DIY person could add. What about laser cut 'drill here' markings?
I will probably get another one as I still have a caseless Pi.
When it arrived, and wasn't see-through as advertised, I was very disappointed. Then I realised you have to peel the white protective layer off. I am an idiot.
When the case turned up, i was a bit dubious at first as it was not a solid plastic casing but instead made up of individual layers which you stack together and are held in place by 4 plastic bolts with plastic nuts in each corner. but surprised to say it is quite a solid case and sturdy, easy to put together and easily disassemble if needed, childs play!
would defo recommend, i am already buying another one for my next Pi!
