Phrase books can be bulky, difficult and slow to use, with a phonetic spelling system that is rarely understood. Pigeon cards are discreet - they look like postcards - and contain most of the words and phrases a typical holiday-maker might need when out and about.
What makes Pigeon cards unique is the way you use them. Instead of looking up complete sentences via an index through subjects to a situation, you tailor make your own phrases using the words on the cards. A typical sentence could be made up from just a few elements eg:
"Can I have... coffee... with milk?"
Begin with "hello" and end with "please" and youve placed your order before your companion has found the right page in their phrase book. With only three Pigeon cards you can order drinks, make sense of a menu, and find your way around the shops.

As with the "Pigeon" range of other languages I have previously used, this was just as good.Published 3 months ago by Terry
Please, just take the time to sit with some French people and listen to how they speak. You will get nowhere with these lame cards.Published on 12 Nov. 2013 by Carrelecroc
