item arrived quickly - part of a bigger parcel so hard to say what the packaging would be like if the only item - as described - no damage - no hassles.
Ideal for my purposes - model making - not airfix aeroplanes but smaller wooden items.
these can clamp thin sheets/items to a board OR quite useful (more useful than I thought there is a little stand a bit like a cup or golf 't' stand the clamp in when it's holding something. I wouldn't recommend it for anything that needs to be held solidly in place but is more useful than I thought - for just resting something temporarily in just the right position. so much so that I might make a couple more of my own design.
The strength is quite god - Vaaaastly stronger than my fingers - ah the physics of mans mechanical tools.
The only omission - if you can call it that - is a small hole thru the tightener - this would enable a small bar (perhaps about 30 mm long and 2 mm thick a bit like a nail) to be used to tighten them. Not like a vice of steel but perhaps a bit more than older or weaker or less agile fingers can manage. it doesn't need a bar in each clamp - adding to the expense in materials - but just one bar for all them and a hole in all of them. I'll have fun drilling my own and fashioning the bar too.
The price was very good so all in all very pleased.
