I have not read any of the other books in this series and dont feel i need too.

This is the story of Zoe, who works as a nanny in america, due to get married in 2 weeks she catches her fiance cheating and she flees back to england.

On her arrival she finds out that her younger sister who is also a nanny has just been fired and thrown out of the house she was working in and zoe storms around there determined to give the person a piece of her mind.

The employer Matt is a rock star/ music producer and assumes zoe is there to interview for the nanny position and invites her in. Zoe decides that to get revenge she is going to get the job and go undercover and do an expose on him and sell it to the papers.

Things however done go according to plan and sparks start to fly between Zoe and Matt.

I have never read anything by this author before and only bought this because i had loads of digital credit and bought a kindle and wanted books and it was on sale for a pound. What a bargain.

I dont do short story's but will be very interested to read this authors future full length novels.

Great fun.

Having now read the entirety of the Love London series, there is only one conclusion I can come to, and that is Nikki Moore is exceptionally talented at creating fantastic stories, that keep you interested and that are very romantic. Whoever said romance was dead, has clearly never read a Nikki Moore book.

As you may be able to tell I loved Picnics in Hyde Park so much. Between two absolutely adorable children, who I am now sad I can't read anything else about, to the way Zoe and Matt interacted, and how she was making him become a better father and more involved in his children's lives, it was an absolute pleasure to read this book.

Yes this may be the last of the 6 book Love London series, but they can all be read as standalones, including this one, although with Picnics in Hyde Park you do get to catch up with all the couples from the shorter stories, as they all have common link with either Matt or Zoe. So there is some familiarity, but I don't think you would feel as though you miss out if reading a bunch of short stories isn't really your thing.

There is a strong theme of family running throughout this book, there is the relationship Matt had with his dead wife, how he is coping with his children, 3 years on, Zoe's relationship with her sister and aunt, as well as Matt;s relationship with his brother, These are all examines in various degrees of detail.

Zoe only took the job as nanny to Matt's children, to try and get answers and perhaps revenge, after he sacks her sister, Melody, with no explanation at all. Zoe is hurting from discovering her fiancee had been cheating on her, and is determined to take Matt down a peg or two. What she doesn't count on is Matt being gorgeous and her falling in love with his children.

I read this in a couple of sittings, the writing flows and the pace is good. I always look forward to Nikki Moore books and this is my favourite to date. Matt is just my kind of hero - hot, with a big heart but enough damage in his life to make him interesting. He makes mistakes but he doesn't let them stop him getting what's important, or seeing what's important at the end.

Zoe is strong, protective of her younger sister and easy to like. Her interaction with the children is wonderful.

I wanted Matt and Zoe to get together and love each other in the way that each deserved.

I do like a good romance, especially on miserable, wet days in January!
This one ticks all the boxes! Handsome widower, naive nanny and lots of obstacles in the way! However, the upbeat tempo never leaves the reader in any doubt that love will conquer all!
Well written so worth a read 👍🏻

Too much navel gazing and in depth emotional twaddle. Someone please buy the author a wine guide, a Pinot Noir is a red wine, a Pinot Grigio is a white wine. Its not rocket science but it is sloppy writing and editing.

Picnics in Hyde Park is an enjoyable read that I just flew through.

Zoe and Matt are both great characters that are very likeable and it is obvious right from the start the attraction that they both feel towards each other.

As Zoe comes into Matts life by becoming a nanny to Matts two children it was also great to see the relationship between Zoe and the children also. Having lost his wife in an accident three years ago, it is obvious how raw it still is for Matt and the children and quite often it brought a tear to my eye throughout the story.

This is the first of Nikki's books that I have read and will certainly be reading more.

After reading all of the "Love London" short stories, Picnics in Hyde Park was a perfect way to finish the series. After reading this, I truly do "Love London" (and Matt as well, of course!)
It was great that all of the previous characters from the series returned in this book and were all linked to Zoe and Matt in some way. The chemistry between the main couple of characters was sizzling and the children portrayed are very cute.
This book made me begrudge being at work, made me switch off my phone and lock myself away until I'd finished. Then I was bereft, no more "Love London"...
