So much is written and printed about Picasso that is hard to know where to start, but if you saw this exhibition at Tate Britain then this is as good a place as any. With an easy reading, concise style, the book captures who he is and what his work meant to many of the luminaries past and present of the art world. His influence was as dramatic as it was powerfully affirming and life changing. And here his genius is laid bare in a way that makes good reading and great sense. A book to treasure about a genius whose work commands knowledge and respect. Delightful. A book I'm proud to own.

I bought this after having visited the exhibition it goes along with. It's beautiful and incredibly informative, and I loved it so much I gave it to my best friend. She loves it too. I will order myself another copy shortly.
