Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts promoted as having various health benefits. They're usually added to yoghurts or taken as food supplements, and are often described as 'good' or 'friendly' bacteria. Probiotics are thought to help restore the natural balance of bacteria in your gut (including your stomach and intestines) when it has been disrupted by an illness or treatment. IBS and diarrhoea: "Probiotics may help to reduce bloating and flatulence in some people with IBS. This is supported by a research published in 2010, although we don't yet know the extent of the benefits, nor the most effective type of probiotic. Probiotics won't work for everyone with IBS, but if you want to try them, the National Institute for Health and Care Excellence (NICE) suggests taking them for at least four weeks, at a dose recommended by the manufacturer, to see if they help. There's some evidence that probiotics can shorten an episode of diarrhoea caused by a stomach bug by about a day. Read the NHS Choices analysis of research into diarrhoea caused by a stomach bug. Read the NICE guidelines for managing IBS in adults." Gut Support and Health: "Without probiotics, antibiotics can sometimes wipe out the protective gut bacteria, resulting in diarrhoea. Probiotics given with antibiotics may also reduce the risk of developing a Clostridium difficile (C. difficile) infection. C. difficile are potentially dangerous bacteria that can cause diarrhoea and life-threatening complications. They can infect the gut if the balance of gut bacteria is disturbed by antibiotics. Probiotics are thought to directly kill or inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria, stopping them producing toxic substances that can make you ill. Some studies have found that certain probiotics, such as Lactobacillus acidophilus, may help to reduce the symptoms of lactose intolerance, which include stomach cramps, flatulence and diarrhoea. Research into this is ongoing. In the meantime, if you are lactose intolerant, you may wish to try probiotic preparations (not yoghurts) of Lactobacillus acidophilus to see if they help.”

From the manufacturer
Physis Advanced Probiotics and Multivitamin Combo Pack provides you and your family with products to stay fit and healthy the natural way. Our Lactobacillus probiotic, with 50 billion viable bacterial strains, and Advanced Multivitamin will fill the nutritional gaps in your body.
Probiotics are live bacteria and yeasts promoted as having various health benefits. Probiotics are thought to help restore the natural balance of bacteria in your gut (including your stomach and intestines) when it's been disrupted by an illness or treatment. There's some evidence that probiotics may be helpful in some cases, such as helping prevent diarrhoea when taking antibiotics, and helping to ease some symptoms of irritable bowel syndrome.
Yes, the bacteria is live. Utmost care is taken in the production of our capsules in order to ensure that the contents are live bacteria.
We refrigerate the probiotics upon production to keep them viable and to ensure their survival into the capsule, we add an overage to ensure they last for the delivery and shelf life of the product.
If you are asking this you may already be aware that so often the public confuse "Strains" with "Genus". Probiotics are organised by Genus, Species and Strains.
In the case of one of our favourite components of our Physis 50 Billion CFU Probiotics:
Lactobacillus = Genus
Acidophillus = Species
LA11- Onlly = Strain

Our new delivery system employs polymeric carbohydrates such as alginates and pectins. This prevents any moisture retention and our complex formulations actually turn on once they come into contact with stomach acid. This encapsulation method is designed to penetrate stomach acids and reach the intestines effectively. Well packaged, the bacteria in the Probiotics will remain active and potent until the expiry date provided.
Physis is a family-centric business. Our staff consists of parents, part-time students, home-workers and globe trotters and we are proud to offer flexible hours and an environment of actually giving a damn!

Also if your taking probiotics which is good bacteria, if you drink normal tap water that contains chlorine which kills bad bacteria it also kills your good bacteria aswell which taking a probiotic with a glass of unfiltered tap water is pointless cause it kills them lol, I would recommend getting a carbon filter or one of them that attaches onto the tap or under the sink that way your good bacteria can flourish and do its job! 😁
I've been taking them for the last few weeks and have noticed a difference, my stomach is flatter and I don't feel nauseous.
I'm on my second batch of these and won't be looking back anytime soon. The customer service that Physis offer is also second to none, quick replies and brilliant service.
I've noticed in general since taking these that I've had:
-Little to no bloating
-Less sugar cravings
-That I generally 'feel' much calmer, my stomach no longer knots at the first sign of stress.
Well worth a try!!!!!!
This combination has worked out great for me. Particularly in terms of reducing IBS-like symptoms. It's got a good mix of different strains, higher than other brands at this price point for sure.
Some days I'll take it with a meal, other days I'll take 2 antacids (to reduce stomach acid) and take one probiotic with just water. This theoretically means less bacteria will be killed by stomach acid, and having just water means the stomach will empty in to the small intestine faster - which is where the bacteria are required.
I'm confident the bacteria have made it through. Don't be alarmed by green poop if you try the above.
