Top customer reviews
I bought the 10mm one and it is very, very thick and comfortable, that's certain.
I use it for home circuit sessions with exercises ranging from burpees to press ups, sit ups, star jumps, jumping jacks, lunges etc - so quite vigourous. I get that it's intended for yoga/pilates but I had hoped it would be a bit more robust, especially as it was among the "quality" end of the market.
For what I use it for it does slide and move around. I have to roll it up the other way (so the underneath is on the outside) to prevent it curling upwards when I lay it out to use it. I reckon I'd be happier if it was about 6cm wider (but I was well aware of the measurements -to be fair). And I've only had it around 10 days and already it's showing some signs of wear (I do a daily 100 burpees challenge as well as my circuits).
Am I happy with it, yes. Is it fit for purpose, yes. Why am I giving it only 4 stars? Well because the old one I had lasted about 10 years and my wife's old one lasted about the same time and those took the same sort of hammering. And were cheaper, albeit a decade ago. So I think this is ok, I guess...
I've used this mat both on a hard cold floor and on carpet and it works perfectly well on both surfaces.
