It contains wonderful images, plenty of text about the area, maps of where to go and reasons explaining when to go.
The appendix includes a very detailed specification list explaining the finer details of many of the photo's, telling you which camera+lens combo was used and also apperture/shutter speeds. Ironically most of the best shots were taken on traditional cameras so they also tell you which type of film they used.
For some, the How To in this book could be considered too detailed and possibly a little basic for experienced photographers, however I found it very helpful and gave me an understanding of another person's perspective.
