This is a good start if you want to learn more about light, lighting and colour temperature in photography, but not detailed enough for someone wanting to take photography more seriously.
Indeed, each type of light and lighting situation is covered, but too often this is very basic information. Equipment is also only very briefly covered, especially concerning studio lights and the different types.
Maybe my biggest complaint is that there is no exposure information for the explanitory photographs, which are generally very good. A big mistake considering the book is all about light because the exposure is simply how the light was used to make the photograph!
