Top customer reviews
Each chapter has a series of two-page sections looking at a particular theme or subject, each with usually four high-quality illustrations (though a lot more when looking at the moons of the gas giants!) accompanied by a number of text-pieces, captions and fact-boxes.
My only complaint, a minor one, is that the text is in a white font on a black page, which can make your eyes go a bit blurry at times, especially in a poor light. However, as the title proclaims, this is an “essential” guide for anyone interested in the subject; though, as with all these type of books, new discoveries can occur without any warning.
The contents are -

P034: Destination Moon
P062: Exploring our Neighbours
P096: Making Space Home

P176: Future Space Exploration
