As an added bonus if like me you sometimes watch series on consecutive nights when you switch back on the machine remembers where you left off providing you leave the disc in when you turn off.
Altogether a nice piece of kit. This is actually the 3rd machine I have purchased on behalf of colleagues and family they are all delighted with it.
All DVDs and DVDRs I have tried will play, although playback is sometimes jerky. I like to watch US imports and find that the player unfortunately has to be set to either PAL or NTSC as the `multi' setting results in jerky playback.
The USB2 port (is so much better than USB1) plays almost all DivX files I have tried and is very useful. I have a deaf family member and trying to get subtitles to play correctly through the USB is very hit and miss, all `idx/sub' files seem to play out of sync, `srt' does a much better job but not perfect.
Overall seems to be less impressive than my older player apart from the addition of USB2 which is very welcome. The motor noise while playing DVDs is very annoying and I will be looking for a new player very soon.
