About Phil Martin
"I grew up in the creative cauldron of nineties Manchester when Madchester rocked the charts and the Hacienda ruled clubland. The city has shaped me as a writer. My name's Phil Martin and I'm a proud Mancunian. I write thrillers and crime stories based on the fine folk of Manchester and Salford and sell them online as ebooks. The Little Girl Lost trilogy is an international thriller taking in Manchester, London, Morocco, Barcelona, Monza, Zurich, Lake Como, Moscow, Chechnya, Buenos Aires, Georgia... and Milton Keynes."

Pete Wyatt is a nineteen-year-old trainee hairdresser funding styling school with what he convinces himself is small time, drug dealing in a Manchester nightclub.
His money-making scheme sends him deep into the shadows of the Manchester drugs trade where he witnesses a gangland execution that will change his life forever.
Suddenly every crook in town wants a piece of him. Tortured by the pain of what unfolds, and let down by the courts, he promises to exact his own revenge, risking his job, his life and every relationship he’s ever forged. As his hairdressing career takes off he realises he is perfectly positioned to deliver retribution.
A double life emerges. During the day he styles in a camp city centre salon, in the evenings he cuts the hair of the wives and girlfriends of the men he wants to kill most, priming them for information. At night his alto ego hunts down those who have wronged him. His mission is to bring down one of Manchester’s leading crime families. His sacrifice is the normality of his own existence.
But with success comes suspicion; the spate of unusual deaths is no coincidence. Manchester’s underworld has spawned a vigilante but who will stop him; his girlfriend, the police or those at the top of his list?
Nightclubs, gangsters, drugs and one normal clubber’s thirst for revenge after the three collide to change his life forever. Killing Doves is nineties Manchester at its naughtiest.
Battling the grieving process, she stops at nothing to unearth exactly what they kept buried from the world. She discovers a coded list of international addresses and passport stamps, exposing lie after lie told by her foster parents. But her home is ransacked and all she is left with is one address in Morocco.
Amy travels to the shanty towns and palaces of Casablanca where she quickly realises that her own life is very much in danger. As the clues lead her close to unearthing her truth, she disturbs it, alerting the gang to her existence. Her truth will do anything to stay hidden.
More clues lead her back to London and a Chechen underworld, where she discovers she was third on a coded, list of stolen children. As the gang looks to silence her, Amy’s quest for knowledge turns into a battle just to stay alive. Murder follows murder. Scotland Yard links each to Amy Walker. She’s a vigilante desperate for revenge.
For Amy, obsession has taken over. As her life descends into a whirlwind of former SAS agents, Chechen warlords and Russian hit men, she realises her quest is about so much more than just her past. The gang that took her is still in operation and ready to strike again in Barcelona.
But Child No. 3 must be silenced. Little Girl Lost must never be found.
Having discovered she was third on a sinister, coded list of children, stolen to order over two decades ago, Amy Walker travels to Monza to meet the blood parents revealed to her in the final breath of the female gangster who snatched her.
However nothing is as it seems in north Milan and Amy will have to fight once more just to stay alive. Only one man can save her.
Detective Superintendent Needham and Detective Flowers have all but exhausted the list of children that Amy discovered with each sorry case leading to nothing. Only the details behind one final snatch remain to be discovered.
Zurich provides their last chance to unearth anything positive, could there be another Amy Walker out there; another child snatched but still alive?
Unravelling the secrets of the Khasbulatov family provide Amy’s key to unlocking the only clues to her own family. A remaining gang member in Moscow offers more clues but the bounty on Amy’s head is too big. The Moscow underworld and the Chief of Police both need to silence her. As a potential bribe presents itself, Amy realises her gamble will be with her life.
His dreams are shot to pieces though when he is arrested for the most heinous sexual crimes against his seemingly embittered ex, Summer, and their seven-year-old daughter, April.
He claims his absolute innocence, but the evidence is so strong that his world quickly turns against him. Having breached his bail conditions, he is sent to prison awaiting a trial that, with his life now in constant danger, may never come. Only one person stands with him; his sister Grace.
Desperate to break the allegiance between mother and daughter, Grace vows to leave no stone unturned in her quest to clear her brother’s name before it is too late.
She unearths a web of vicious deceit in Summer’s turbulent past but nothing to prove her brother’s innocence. She is convinced though that if she keeps digging she’ll unearth something much bigger about her brother’s accuser to weaken the validity of her claims.
But as the evidence against Lawrence gets more sinister, his alcoholism, blackouts and activity on the Dark Web paint a much different story to the one her brother is telling.
Praise for A Black Widow's Web
"The word "unputdownable" was made for this book. I genuinely did not want to put this book down because I was desperate to see what was going to happen next. With novels like this, I worry about plausibility but everything was tied up nicely and made complete sense. Grace delves into Summer's past, going back decades, and this is very cleverly written. You really feel Grace's frustrations when no one is listening to her. A Black Widow's Web is clearly planned well and gets your heart racing."

“Truly clever and utterly gripping, this is a suspenseful and intelligent thriller that left me cold – after all anyone could be like Summer, couldn’t they?”
Madeleine @ Rambling Mads
“This is a story of a real web of crimes, of deceit, lies and the most horrific of accusations, all tied together with Lawrence caught in the middle of the web. A disturbing, unsettling and twisted crime read with a clever plot!”
“5 star Where do I even start with this book!! It has more twists and turns than a rollercoaster. Just when I thought I might of sussed out something, it flipped me on my head! Oh and that beginning had me shuddering. The characters were so complex and to be honest not at all likeable, and when you read it you will completely understand what I mean! But they were so well written, and the fact I loathed and felt sorry for them was a big credit to the author. This is a domestic psychological thriller, that is gritty and dark. A twisted web of deceit, lies, mind games, violence and secrets and the title Sums this book up superbly! I haven't read a book quiet this gripping in a long time.

"Wow, this book was good! So Dark and so very classic Law & Order: SVU! Lawrence and Grace. Summer and April. The truth, the lies, and the blackout that muddle the facts of the case. The atmosphere is so thick and noticeable you just feel like you have been teleported into the setting. I appreciated that author Phil Martin did not shy away from the twisted nature of the crimes that the leading character is accused of, but still maintained the emotional aspects and humanity within each player in this tangle woven tragedy.
As they journey across the vast wastelands of Russia the couple have become the number one target for a criminal brotherhood stretching from London to Chechnya and everywhere in-between. The bounty on her head has never been so high but the Moscow Police aren’t after a payday; they just need her dead at any cost. Two death squads are despatched but, motivated by the money, will the gangs get to them first?
D.S. Needham’s obsession with Walker sees the girl’s origins become the focus of her secret team at New Scotland Yard. If her instinct is right, Walker’s truth is far darker than she could have ever imagined. But solving crime is only part of Needham’s motivation. What she wants to uncover has the potential to finish off Amy Walker more brutally than any gang member ever could. Needham is convinced that three unsolved cases, linked to London crime lord Vyacheslav Khasbulatov ultimately hold the key to unlocking her dark secrets. She is convinced too that Child No. 3 is on a vigilante quest to murder anyone connected to her abduction, twenty three years ago.
As Amy’s plight moves into ever darker territory, Needham is convinced her secrets lie closer to home. Both routes to Amy’s past are set to collide with each other as well as with the London, Russian and Chechen underworlds.
