This is the 3rd instalment of 4 films shot in a 30 year period with the same actors!
A must see Horror/SciFi like nothing seen before! The film is an older one with older non blockbuster effects but thats exactly whats good about these films, not the overtly saturated special effects that dog a lot of the films we see today(possibly due to lack of imagination that the current generation of film goers suffer).
A genuine set of 4 films that are a Horror with a difference!I first saw the first film as a child and never forgot it and hence now own the whole collection(Amazon uk.com.
Alchemy.

THE MOVIE

One rare event where the sequel is better than the orginal. I enjoyed PHANTASM 2 & 3 more than part 1, I must say. This one is eerier and more atmospheric. I really can't decide which is the best of the series, part 2 or 3.
What sets this series apart from most other horror films is that it's so different. It actually has a compelling but not always logical story, it does not solely revolve around brutal onscreen killings. In fact it is not as violent or gory as it is said to be (re-rated with a 15 Certificate, but it is the uncut unrated version). PHANTASM III has lots of great ideas and cannot be taken seriously at times, although I wouldn't put it into the fun-splatter genre.
I didn't really care for the introduction of Kevin Connors in part 3 as an eight-year-old who can shoot than anyone else and drive a car, seems a little absurd.
Nonetheless, I loved this film and can strongly recommend this to anyone who enjoys horror/sci-fi and wants more than the usual Freddy/Jason massacres.
Both, Michael Baldwin and Bill Thornbury reprise their roles after being absent in PHANTASM II.
PHANTASM III has kind of a road movie feel to it, which I like, a bit of a change of style here, but not for long, the finale takes place in a huge mausoleum, which is this part's highlight!
Definitely worth

Another Wonderfully Imaginative Entry in the Series as Mike and Reggie take to the road and pick up some memorable Characters along the way.The Gore is top notch and the Balls are Back in Force.
