This is a fairly typical Haynes effort but I have to say it lacks good quality illustrations and has quite a few mistakes which is worrying (for instance they claim that the diesel has a variable vane turbo charger probably being too lazy to check and guessing that it's the same as the BMW version of the same engine). The instructions are vague and you only really understand them once you've done the job. Far better to shell out for the printed version of the official 75/ZT manual which is written for professionals but is at least clear and well illustrated if a lot more expensive

Been around some time so I guess they don't have much difficulty in getting it right. This book is no exception. Written in exactly the same way as all other Haynes books with a standard format it acts as a reference for the motorist who wants just that little bit extra over and above the normal drivers manual from the manufacturer. There are of course much better workshop manuals on the market but this is a cheaper alternative for those who don't mind getting their hands dirty.

This Haynes Manual has shown me not only what to do when performing minor work on my Rover 75, but equally importantly, it has told me what not to do, and stopped me from causing expensive damage in the process. Invaluable!

All though it is a very comprehensive and detailed book some of the instructions it gives are not possible. i e changing the right hand headlight bulb. I find that to carry out this operation I am going to have to drop the front panel off and take the headlight out.

As expected from Haynes, this manual is a must for the enthusiast as well as the money saving motorist. Every detail of the vehicle is covered, even down to loosening a stick cup-holder!
I have a Haynes manual for every vehicle I have ever owned, and Haynes have never let me down.
Absolutely first-class in every way.

Very clear instructions and pictures as to how to dismantle and reassemble items, but could do with far more diagrams showing the relationship of parts within assemblies, cross sectional views, and more diagnostic information so that you have a better idea of how it all works and what the fault you need to remedy might be before you start.

Circuit diagrams are helpful and intelligently laid out, but incomplete - this is probably inevitable given the complexity of the wiring and electronics.

This is my experience so far, and I haven't undertaken any major work using it yet(and hope not to!). I would say it's very good so far as it goes... and one has to acknowledge that it would take a lot of volumes to cover all you might need to know with these cars!
