This pulls out to be a strip of paper with pictures, not a 'book' with pages, and not 'board' - way too fragile for a little one, its also very small - 13cm x 13cm / 5 x 5 inches - bad description - maybe for parents who want something cute on a shelf, but I brought as a gift for my son who loves books so complete waste of time, now have to get refund and find something else....

My little girl loves Peter Rabbit and friends. However, when I opened this I was disappointed. The 'book' is more of strip that pulls out and the characters pop out at you. It can be read like a book but my 3 year old finds this difficult and findly to fold the steip into 'pages'. It's small toö.. maybe no more then 3.5 inches square.

Lovely version of The Tale of Peter Rabbit. I don't like the current trend of modernising Beatrix Potter stories. For me the original will always be the best and as far as I can tell this version is almost exactly as I remember it. I prefer the way the book is formatted for Kindle rather than the way it looks on a tablet. It's purely a personal opinion. It's set out like a real book on a smaller screen and the pages and (gorgeous) illustrations seem better organised in a compacted format. A slice of my childhood and one I'm always happy to revisit.

I was misled by some of the reviews of this product. Some said the pictures were not Beatrix Potter's, others indicated the book had a series of pull-out pictures. In the end I checked the ISBN of the product against the official Beatrix Potter website and both were the same. I chose this book based on the Beatrix Potter website description which was far more accurate. The book is delightful. It measures just under 5" in height and 4.5" in width. It has 69 pages. The illustrations are beautiful and are just as the author drew them.

I bought this as present for my niece and since she lives in Canada I always try to get something that is a little different and more English than what she would normally get. She is two and a half.

She loved this book but I felt it wasn't the best quality and I was a little disappointed with the stories and the pop ups.

I paid £16.99 and felt I could have got better value with a standard story book and it could have lasted longer.

I was shocked when I received this book, to find that the illustrations inside it were NOT the Beatrix Potter illustrations! They were black and white copies of famous paintings e.g. 'Ophelia" by Millais! These were interspersed seemingly at random throughout the story.I don't get it! Why would anyone print this?

A great little book. More for us than the boy as it's a bit of nostalgia.

All I would say is the books physical size is very small which might not be clear to everyone from the advert. Probably about A6 size.

Another "English" type gift for my 1 year old niece in America. She LOVES books. And especially when I read to her. Bless her.
