It's not often that you find yourself wanting to be an incredibly clumsy and slightly ditzy character like Willa! But, Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington have created such a likeable character, and one that seriously makes me laugh so hard I feel like I might pee my pants, that I find myself wishing I was Willa. Of course, having five hot guys around her like the Abcurse brothers might also be a majorly big incentive!

Persuasion jumps right back into where Trickery, book 1, left off. In fact it feels like I've never left the world and all of Willa's craziness, except I know I have as I've been missing her shenanigans like crazy. I flove that Willa is not your typical heroine, she's clumsy and dangerous to herself and those unfortunate enough to be around her, but she's more than capable of fighting her own battles, albeit haphazardly and with more than just a bit of luck on her side. Her inner monologue is one that has me cracking up, and almost peeing my pants. She doesn't understand many everyday, normal things that others do, but she's sharp enough to not trust certain other people and situations. She's probably one of my favourite characters, ever, that I've read to date.

The Abcurse brothers in this second book are opening up just a little more to Willa. I'm loving how the dynamics of their group are slowly changing throughout this book and the decision that all five of them make at the end of this book just makes me fall in love with them even more. I also love the little ways that they show Willa throughout this book that she is someone important to them, particularly when she's having her inner monologue moments which they pick up on. Out of the five brothers, I really don't have a favourite which is odd for me as usually I can pick out one that I like more than the others.

Persuasion a Five-star read that will have you cursing. Persuasion by Jaymin Eve and Jane Washington is the second book in the Curse of the Gods series, (you do need to read book one first) its set in a world where the Gods live in a mystical and dreamlike place called Topia.
Willa Knight is a Dweller who is serving at Blesswood academy, with an attitude and a curse of clumsiness (amongst others), this is the story of her and the five magical beings everyone knows as the Abcurses, but Willa lovingly refers to as 1,2,3,4 and 5 as well as some other choice names. They have several episodes where crazy things happen, mainly as people try to teach Willa lessons, some she is willing to learn and some that she needs to avoid learning if she wants to be able to stay on the path she wishes. There is also a pact that makes for some funny circumstances.
This series just gets better, I can’t wait for the next book in the series. If its half as good as the first two, I can’t wait

Im really enjoying the twists and turns in this series, most of which I've not always accurately guessed like many other series.

More trouble is tripping Willa up in the second installment of Curse of the Gods, and I'd be glad to meet someone who seems to fall over more than I do! We get taken on further explorations of Topia, meet more arrogant gods and see the fissures deepen and crack in Blesswood as the divide and resentment between Dwellers and Sols increase.

I love how the Abcurse characters personalities are individually developing well along with that of Willa. It's not often you read and invest in all the chara get a of such an ensemble piece.

I would go 4.5* as it's not quite as easy to follow in terms of the amount squished in to the story - I found I looked back a couple of pages 2 or 3 times to make sure I was following correctly - as book 1. Still liking the 5 hot guys and Willa's attitude towards life.

Book two in the curse of the gods series, and I was not disappointed!!! The story continues, we see Willa and her boys evolve and grow as characters, we see their relationships grow and develop

The story continues, and is just as exciting as the first one, the humour and character commentary gad me laughing out loud.

This is an all round excellent book, this is fast becoming one of my favourite series, it has everything you could want in a great book and you cannot help but love it!!

I am so excited for the next book and I highly recommend this book, everyone needs to read it

After reading the first book in the series, I just had to pre order this book. One of the best books I've read in a long time. The story is well written, with a good dose of humour that had me laughing out loud and gaining strange looks from family members. It's an original storyline which stands out from many other books and has five gorgeous gods to fan girl over. I would definitely recommend reading this book. Just be sure you have plenty of time available, because once you start you will not be able to put it down. I can't wait for the third book! :)

Amazing! Not as casual and funny as Trickery yet equally as good. The plot has moved on in bounds and things are starting to come together in some ways and are completely untethered in others. It's equal parts frustrating and exciting. I absolutely cannot wait for Seduction to come out. Willa needs to end up with all five Abcurses somehow and have lots of accident prone god-babies! Highly recommend.
