Review

Not since reading my first Carl Rogers book, have I been so moved, empowered and affirmed. -- Jenny Biancardi, Counsellor and Tutor

About the Author

Peggy Natiello is a psychotherapist in private practice and an organisational consultant. She has worked with graduate students in major universities for over 20 years. With Carl Rogers and others, she founded The Indepth Training Program for the Person-Centered Approach in 1980 and continues training in a different format in Northern Arizona. The opportunity to work with Rogers periodically from 1978 until his death, revealed the profound and subtle meanings of the person-centered approach. Visit www.person-centered.com to find out more about Peggy's work. Currently, her work is focused on global issues facing us as we try to move into a creative future.

Peggy Natiello is one of the few therapist/writers I have read during my years as a trainee counsellor who makes the world of therapy seem accessible even to trainees. While other writers blind with science or confuse with jargon, Peggy just tells her stories, and makes sense. Whereas other books can make my heart sink, Peggy makes my heart sing. After reading this book, I really believe that I can 'do' it.
Hope this review helps, and here's a link to my memoir :-) Nothing Ever Happens in Wentbridge

Whether you are a Person-centred counsellor or student or interested in applying the Person-centred approach to group or one to one facilitation, this book is full of wisdom, experience, inspiration and passion. Peggy Natiello passes on to the reader much of what she has learned first hand from and with Carl Rogers in their work together.
