The secondary characters were brilliant too, I do hope we get a second book about them (but no more stomping on my heart please, it coulnd't take it. Oh yes, and I have to mention the quarters, so clever and more so that it was based on something that actually happened to the author, and also that the characters/events are based on actual people and events.
A gorgeous book with gorgeous characters, fabulous story with just the right amount of angst (even though I had palpitations!) and absolutely loved the brilliant epilogue which made up for the heart stomping. This is one that will stay with me for a long time (red puffy eyes and all). LOVED IT!!
This is the first book I have read by JS and it won't be my last, I've downloaded her others.
A well deserved 5 stars from me, JS you have a new fan ;)
BUT!!!!! And without spoiling the plot - I don't think some of Cassie's actions & reactions were true to who she was, yes the angst was there and you felt for her & what she was feeling is portrayed to the reader but I think at times, the choices she made glossed over her strict principles, she seemed to waver at times that I thought she would never have as the person she was at the beginning of the book.
It's not a criticism, I LOVED LOVED LOVED the book but because a piece of me didn't truly believe in Cassie at times it's 4 stars for me.😀
They both really loved each other, and to be honest I'm not sure I could have forgiven Jack, but Cassie did and had to start living life in the media spotlight, plus the attitude from the other Players Wives.
At least she had Melissa, what a hoot she was, I just loved the texts between them! but how freaky knowing what your friend was up to!
Dean is such a sweetie, wished there had been more!
When the ex wife's story hit, you knew it was not going to be pretty! and I guess there really are people like that in existence.
Cassie was one for running! and I am glad she came to her senses, they truly deserve happiness.
Loved the wedding Scene, beautiful! And pleased Dean and Melissa finally got out together

Very predictable. Annoying at times. Definitely aimed at teenage readers. I'm early 20s and the whole thing just seemed a bit childish to me. Read morePublished 3 months ago by Miss C. Hill
