But it's SO worth it!

The original line-up recording again, and this is DEFINITELY one of my albums of 2012.
Right up there with Deftones 'Koi No Yokan', and some other heavier, great albums, if you like anything FSF have done before, you'll love this.
if you don't, but you're into good music, you should STILL love this!

Stand out tracks for me include 'So cold', 'Way down', King's Canyon' and 'Janie', but like all great albums (and fewer and fewer more recent ones unfortunately) it plays fantastically well from start to finish.

If you don't already own this, get it.
And if you disagree with me, change your mind.

We forgive you for dashboard confessional now, after this...

After a few years in hibernation it's good to here FSF back with a belting new record. Every song on here is a winner, and the hooks and big and plentiful....but why oh why did they make the pitch correction on Chris' voice so obvious? It sounds like they just imported his vocals into a program like melodyne, put on the default setting (with the slight mechanical gargle) and left it that way..it seems the same on near enough every song. It's a shame as the melodies are great, and Chris' voice has got better and stronger over the years (it's also worth note that the vocals are also quite low in the mix).
