these books are ideal if you want more than just where everything is, what shops and churches are available and some background information on locality. all done with a tongue in cheek which makes them fun to read. we own a hotel boat and these books are great for our guests to read and enjoy

Not as good as I had hoped but arrived quickly. There was plenty about the general surrounds of the canal but little about pubs and eating places - an important part of a narrowboat holiday for most people.
