"Out of the heart's sickness the spirit wrote
For delight, or to escape hunger, or of war's worst anger,
When the guns died to silence and men would gather sense
Somehow together, and find this was life indeed"
Book was stated as used, but appears like brand new in all respects.
The poetry was every bit as powerful as it was initially, after I had not read it for nearly 20 years.
I dip into this when the mood grabs me.
I love it.
Some poets more than others, but its all about personal taste in the end isn't it?
Overall,an excellent collection, with an interesting introduction as well.
