4.0 out of 5 stars Excellent Story, Subquality binding 24 July 2013

This is a great early independent reader story with Kim Lewis's BEAUTIFUL pencil drawings, but the book is hard to find and the binding quality is not great. It was not the sellers fault or description, the book was in the condition described--which is very good. The binding was just not quality to begin with and I can see that we'll have to treat it gently to make it last and I see us taping the covers on in the future.

My daughter is in 3rd grade and a reluctant independent reader and she's enjoying the story. My son is an advanced 1st grade reader and will be starting on it when she's done and has already looked at all the illustrations and can't wait.
