This is a great insight into the music of Paul McCartney. It has a great but short picture gallery and a bonus track. If you own the VHS 1989 release version, then you will find 'Fool On The Hill' not edited out from main feature. It is said on the sleeve to have 23 tracks, but can't seem to find 3 of them on the disc. Another downside is, the 58 minutes long DVD is shorter than the VHS release of 65 minutes. The track 'Fool On The Hill' has now been moved to a bonus track placing. The DVD should be released as to the original, even if it does not have extras, which we all expect. DVD features: 'C-Moon', 'My Brave Face', 'Rough Ride', 'Figure Of Eight', 'Things We Said Today', 'I Saw Her Standing There', 'The Long And Winding Road', 'How Many People', 'That Day Is Done', 'This One', 'Put It There', 'Hello Goodbye', 'Just Because', 'Summertime, Lucille', 'Ain't That A Shame', 'Distractions', 'Party Party' and 'Let It Be'. Tracks also listed are 'Twenty Flight Rock', 'Cracking Up' and 'I Want you, I Need You, I Love You'. If you can find them on this DVD, then you are smarter than I am. Not a best buy on DVD, but worth it as the original 1989 VHS released version. I was lucky to have the original VHS version to compare with and inform you of what looks like false advertising. I had this on VHS back when it was first released in the late eighties and was pleased to see that they had bothered to release it on DVD.It is a snapshot in time of McCartney during the time of the `Flowers In The Dirt' album which I think was on of his best solo efforts. It switches between interviews with Paul and live performances in his home studio with a great band including Linda.Elvis Costello pops up briefly singing a demo of `My Brave Face' which he co wrote.

It begins with C Moon and includes six Beatles songs, some old rockers and most of the then new album. He is in fine voice here and for those who have bought his later DVD's you will notice how well he hits all the notes when he was younger. The sound quality is very good and is in DTS 5.1 as well as stereo. The video quality is definately not High Definition but is quite acceptable for a music video.

I got this for less than a pound so really at this price it's a no brainer.Buy it.

I really enjoyed this dvd,it covers the album "Flowers in the dirt" and we get great footage of Macca with his band playing songs from the album. There are also some Beatles songs thrown in for good measure.Flowers in the dirt is one of my fave macca solo albums, highlights for me are the songs Put it there,My brave face,Figure of eight and Distractions, all really great tunes which are performed here.

Loved it, great entertainment, lovely to see some early members together including Hamish.
The interview also informative and a good insight to the man and his music.

Would love to have the whole thing on audio CD!

To drive along to some of the best guitar sounds by some of the best performers would be the
icing on the cake for me.
Recommend it?
You bet, even if your not a Paul McCartney fan you should find this one excellent viewing!

This is not the original version and the quality level appears just lihe a VHS cassette but as it's a very low cost version I can accept it. VP
